English Course

Zoni Language Centers offers English courses for all levels from absolute beginner to advanced.

On the first day, you will take a test and will be placed in the level most suitable for you.

The courses are held from Monday to Friday. There are no classes during holidays.

The Teachers

Our teachers are all native speakers, highly qualified and have an academic education. After the lessons,

they are available to give advice and assistance on any problems with the language and to answer

questions about local cultural and sporting events.

Teaching Method

ESL Program courses are designed to help you develop the English skills you need for the university

classroom and the professional workplace. Our classes also highlight the practical English you need

for everyday situations. Instruction is interactive, encouraging you to practice English through a variety

of activities. Your courses focus on academic reading and writing as well as listening, speaking, and

pronunciation:

• Grammar- vocabulary - exercises - activities
• Reading - understanding texts - listening - writing
• Conversation

Lessons

The class is based essentially on the principle of conversation. This is achieved through intensive

training in structured role-play, guided dialogs, audio-listening and reading cultural, social, and

political essays and articles related to the host country.

Premium Intensive English Program

The Premium Intensive English program offers language instruction with an integrated approach that includes four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. The specific courses under these programs also include the incorporation of pronunciation, vocabulary building and conversation activities using grammar in context. Extra curricular academic activities such as field trips to museums, historical sites, observation of NYC life and film showing are provided to enhance and to reinforce English proficiency. 

Level 1: Beginner

Courses provide you with basic communications skills and English grammar. You learn to construct simple to complex sentences and develop vocabulary skills to be able to participate in small group discussions.

Level 2: Intermediate

Courses develop your awareness of the relationship of grammar to meaning. You learn to construct simple to complex sentences and develop vocabulary skills to be able to participate in small group discussions.

Level 3: High Intermediate

Courses enhance your ability to communicate with and understand English speakers. You increase grammatical accuracy in writing and speaking and develop your reading comprehension.

Level 4: Advance

Courses further develop your fluency in speaking, reading, listening and speaking. You attain a high command of vocabulary words and idioms to help your participate in class discussions. You acquire a stronger grammar foundation, develop your ability to react to readings and enhance active listening skills.
